# Pickclip > Pickclip is a native macOS menu-bar clipboard manager with on-device AI > actions: hotkey dictation with a live transcript (⌥⇧D, toggle or > hold-to-talk, transcribed entirely on the Mac and optionally piped > straight through an action), a searchable clipboard history (text + > images) with optional search by meaning, a paste stack, on-the-fly > prompts, one-key paste shortcuts, and pausable recording, one-tap > transforms on anything you copy (Fix, Organize, Translate, Clean Link, > Plain Text), screenshot OCR, and user-defined custom actions in plain > language — chainable into named sequences. > Private by design — Apple Intelligence / local models, no cloud service. > macOS 26+, Apple Silicon. 14-day free trial, one-time license. Text and results can move between the Mac and an iPhone two ways, both opt-in and with nothing to install on the phone: a Universal Clipboard hand-off that runs a chosen action on text copied on the phone and sends the result back, and a shared iCloud Drive folder ("Pickclip" in the Files app) with "Send to Mac" and "From Mac". The clipboard history itself never leaves the Mac — only results travel. Pickclip exposes a local, token-protected MCP (Model Context Protocol) server so AI agents can read the user's clipboard history, run Pickclip actions on clips, put results on the clipboard, and manage custom actions. It is off by default; the user enables it in Settings → AI Tools. Supported clients include Claude Desktop (one-click extension), Claude Code, Cursor, Redeep, and any stdio or localhost-HTTP MCP client. ## Docs - [Pickclip MCP server documentation](https://www.pickclip.pro/mcp/docs.md): complete reference for AI agents — capabilities, security model, setup for every client, all ten tools with argument and result shapes, error semantics, troubleshooting - [MCP setup guide (human-oriented)](https://www.pickclip.pro/mcp/): the step-by-step guide to connecting an AI assistant ## Product - [Homepage](https://www.pickclip.pro/): features, screenshots, pricing, download - [Dictation](https://www.pickclip.pro/voice/): on-device voice to text — press or hold a shortcut, watch the live transcript, teach it your own vocabulary and replacement rules, then copy it, save it as a clip, send it to Notes, save it as a file, or run your actions on it - [Gallery](https://www.pickclip.pro/gallery/): screenshots of the app - [Changelog](https://www.pickclip.pro/changelog/): release notes for every shipped version, newest first — what changed and when - [Blog](https://www.pickclip.pro/blog/): articles on clipboard history, custom actions, and OCR on the Mac - [Feed](https://www.pickclip.pro/feed.xml): RSS 2.0 — one feed carrying both new blog posts and every shipped release, newest first ## Contact - [Email](mailto:pickclip@slideform.co): licensing, questions, bug reports
